Have you ever had a bad toothache? Dental disease and acute pain can afflict anyone, anywhere and at any time. Imagine being a child with no dental services available and imagine trying to function normally in your daily life or a play.
Healthy Smiles Society (HSS) is an incorporated, registered, non-profit charity located in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada. We provide mobile dental care clinics focusing on children in rural communities in developing countries. We strive to offer care where basic dental services are not available.
HSS works to improve access to basic dental care, education and services anywhere in the world where the need is great.
Projects are funded with the support of our membership, partners, resource contributions and donations.*

Our History
Our founder: Simon Jozzy, is a Dental Therapist originally from Zimbabwe who has made his home here in Inuvik, NT for many years now. While he has spent many years in Canada’s North providing basic dental services, he returns to Zimbabwe from time to time. While in Zimbabwe, he saw there were no available dental services in the rural areas. Simon and the HSS are on a mission to provide basic dental care to developing countries.
Healthy Smiles Society was created through a shared vision of people who wanted to make a difference!
